“AFRA TAFRI” AT BANKS BRANCHES AS BANKS NOT SO WELL PREPARED TO HANDLE CURRENCY CRISIS

What i saw at banks in these two days after the currency closure of Rs.500 and Rs. 1000 by our Honorable Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi was that i witnessed the long queue on road near any bank and made me remember of those old days when we used to have ration card and rushed for getting it before it came to an end at t he ration shop.

People standing in long queues around banks has become a normal sightseeing from yesterday when the banks opened to public.

The worst part is that the banks seemed not prepared thoroughly as communicated in media by the government that the banks are well prepared as the staff in bank remained the same and extra staff could not be seen as i myself visited banks like Allahabad ,Syndicate Bank etc, also the currency was there for a shorter time resulting in fights between the customers and the bank officials for closing the cash window.

The senior citizen are seen tolling for so many hours standing in queues outside the bank and some even showing sign of fainting due to lack of water and shed.

I could find AFRA TAFRI everywhere around banks and was not able to single out who was not worried.

Mr. Modi surprised announcement to me seemed is taking a toll on these frail and weak senior citizens who are struggling to get their currency exchanged or deposited .

I could see people shouting at the branch manager of PNB at fire station branch of new rajinder nagar, new delhi. But to my surprise the Branch Manager was so nice that he never lost his temper and dealt with the people very courteously.

But one thing is really there that the banks manpower is less as compared to the crowd which is visiting everyday. The banks senior officials should note these issues and work towards it.
