Burglars apprehended after chase in a swift action by PCR. ( SEE VIDEO OF CRIME TOO IN THE NEWS)
One burglar arrested with house breaking tool.
One Stolen Esteem Car and ransacked items were recovered.
On the night intervening between 30/04/17 & 01/05/2017 at about 3:52 AM, PCR Van while on patrolling at New Rohtak Road, Delhi noticed 5-6 youngsters trying to burgle Shop No.9995 (Patanjali Store). On seeing the PCR Van, the youngsters tried to flee away with Maruti Esteem car bearing registration No. DL-2CAC- 7865. The MPV staff swung into action and over powered one of the burglars namely Vinitr/o Vill. Shahabad, Delhi, where as others managed to escape. On search of the car, one watch, one Samsung mobile, two bags containing cigarettes and Rs 4,500/- cash were recovered. On interrogation the apprehended person disclosed to have stolen these articles from another shop prior to this burglary. One iron rod which was used by these burglars to break open the shutter of the shop was also recovered from the said car. On verification the Esteem car above was found to be stolen from the area of PS Sultan Puri vide FIR No. e-012963 dated 01/05/2017. Local police was called from P.S. Sarai Rohilla and the accused along with the recovered stolen car and articles was handed over to them. In this regard a case vide FIR No. 151/17 u/s 457/380/411/34 IPC has been registered at P.S. Sarai Rohilla and investigation of the case is in progress. The whole incident of apprehending burglars by the PV staff was automatically recorded in CCTV Camera installed in the adjoining shop which went viral in social media and PCR action has been appreciated by public at large. The PCR Cops have been recommended for suitable reward.
