CRIME BRANCH ARRESTS ONE NIGERIAN NATIONAL ,RECOVER 110 GM FINE QUALITY COCAINE

ONE NIGERIAN NATIONAL INVOLVED IN TRAFFICKING OF COCAINE ARRESTED.

RECOVERED COCAINE WAS TO BE SUPPLIED IN RAVE PARTIES IN DELHI AND NCR.

INTRODUCTION:

           On 17.04.17, a secret information had been received by the Special Team Crime Branch, Prashant Vihar, Delhi that one Nigerian national who is indulged in the supply of cocaine in the area of Delhi NCR to the youth of Delhi and NCR shall be visiting the area Neb Sarai near Saket, Delhi. The cocaine so supplied would be used in some rave parties in Delhi and NCR.  The supplier is of Nigerian origin. A dedicated team of officers of Special Team, Crime Branch was constituted was constituted to apprehend the supplier of the cocaine. The team so constituted started gathering information in this regard in the area of Saket, Delhi.

INFORMATION, TEAM & OPERATION:

Due to sincere efforts made by the team, on 17.04.17, a specific information was received that one Nigerian national namely Chima Akuma who is residing in South, Delhi and is one of the suppliers of Cocaine for the parties, would come between 10:00 PM to 10:30PM to supply cocaine in huge quantity near Saket Metro Station, Delhi. A team was constituted under the overall supervision of DCP/Crime Sh. G. Ram Gopal Naik of Special Team, led by ACP Ms Shweta Singh Chauhan, consisting of Inspr. Sanjay Dahiya, SIs Dinesh Malik, Karan Singh, ASI Azad Singh, HCs Kavinder Pal, Anil Kumar.

Accordingly, a trap was laid near Indian Park, Lado Sarai, Saket, Delhi and one Nigerian national namely, Chima Akuma, s/o Akuma, R/o Abiriba Estate,, Nigeria aged 35 years was apprehended at10.25 PM while he was returning back after waiting for a customer. After following the legal formalities, search of Chima Akuma was conducted and 110 grams of fine quality of cocaine was recovered from his possession.  A case vide FIR No. 57/17 dated 18.04.17 u/s 21 NDPS Act & 14 Foreigner’s Act has been registered at PS Crime Branch and the above mentioned accused has been arrested in this case.

 PROFILE:

Chima Akuma is 35 years of age.  He has studied upto 3rd standard. He is married and having two daughters in Nigeria. He came to India in Delhi in November 2014 on medical Visa and initially started exporting readymade garments in Nigeria. He realized that this was not suitable business to earn quick money and he came in contact with some of the drug traffickers of the Nigerian origin. He decided to be effective supplier of cocaine as this drug is in high demand in Delhi. Accordingly, he rented a house in Neb Sarai Village, in Delhi in Aug 2014. Since then, he has been supplying cocaine to young persons, mostly college going students in South Delhi and adjoining areas of Delhi. He disclosed that he used to purchase cocaine from one Nigerian national namely Joe. Recently, he got the recovered Cocaine from one Nigerian national Joe who resides somewhere in Rajpur, Delhi but he had never seen his residence. The recovered cocaine was to be supplied to one Indian fellow code named as Hunk -one who was demanding cocaine for celebration in parties. He completed all his dealings of receiving and supplying of the cocaine through his mobile. His visa had already expired in 2016 and therefore, relevant provisions of Foreigner’s Act were also attracted.

Further investigation is in progress to trace and ascertain the identity of the source of the recovered contraband and his network.
