Delhi Traffic Police and IGDTU develop state of the art software application for traffic management

Delhi Traffic Police in association with Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for women students concluded its first summer internship programme of 8 weeks to develop and deploy IT solutions and applications for Personnel Management, Document Tracking and Management System,  Accident Data Analysis and Online social Media Analytics. The eight week duration which started on 5th June and concluded on 28.07.2017. Analytic The software applications are expected to improve the accuracy of analysis and forecasting of Traffic Police related to accidents, information dissemination etc.

On the conclusion of internships the students gave presentation to Delhi Police on the applications present on the occasion were Sh. Ajay Kashyap, Spl.CP/Traffic, Prof. Nupur Prakash, Vice-Chancellor of IGDTU, Ms. Garima Bhatnagar, Jt. CP/Traffic alongwith officers of Delhi Traffic Police and staff of IGDTU.

Sh. Ajay Kashyap hailed this Delhi Traffic Police initiative as a beginning of a long term partnership with institutions of repute. These partnerships have a potential to set a trend for better and transparent governance and evolove more professional service delivery systems. Sh. Ajay Kashyap recognized the hard work put in by the students during their association with Delhi Police. He also urged the students to take the message to the institution for the need to be aware of the problems concerning the city in terms of traffic management and challenges faced by Delhi Traffic Police and how meaningful solutions can be found out.

Prof. Nupur Prakash, Vice Chancellor of the university also used the occasion to thank Delhi Police for providing an opportunity to the students of university to work on real life problems and provide workable solutions. She also emphasized that such programmes must continue in future also. The initiatives like these actually give students the challenges they may actually encounter in their professional endeavours.
