MICROSOFT LAUNCHES 2 MODELS LUMIA -950 AND 950XL SMART PHONES WITH WINDOWS 10

Bengaluru, Dec 01  Global software major Microsoft, which bought Finnish teleco Nokia last year, on Monday launched here two models of Lumia — 950 and 950XL smart-phone with Windows 10.

Priced at Rs.43,699 and Rs.49,399, both models are available at the company’s resellers, retail chains of Croma, Reliance and Sangeetha and Microsoft Store on Amazon.in.

“With pre-loaded Windows 10 in both the devices, we have ushered in more personal computing in a mobile-first, cloud-first world,” Microsoft India chairman Bhaskar Pramanik said in a statement.

Designed for Windows users and mobile professionals who desire a premium phone that takes advantage of Windows 10, the new devices are performance-driven.

Being the first phones to come loaded with Windows 10 operating system, Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL offer in-built Microsoft Office suite to access files via OneDrive and cloud.

The latest Microsoft phones are powered with Qualcomm’s newest Snapdragon processors.

The phones come with Windows 10 feature Continuum which enables the new Lumia phones to be transformed into personal computer by connecting the phone to a monitor and adding a keyboard and mouse to work with.

Equipped with Microsoft’s PureView technology, Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL come with 20 megapixel triple LED natural flash cameras and five megapixel front camera.
