· Daily bus service between Delhi and Kathmandu to cover the distance of 1250Kms. between two cities in about 30 hrs.

· The International Bus Service to travel via Yamuna Express Highway, Agra, Firozabad, Kanpur, Lucknow, Gorakh Pur & Sunauli to reach Kathmandu.

For making the Journey smoother to tourist friendly Nepal, a Bus Service operation started between Delhi and Kathmandu. Today, Delhi–Kathmandu International Bus Service inaugurated by Sh. Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road Transport & Highways and Shipping from Dr. Ambedkar Stadium Terminal (Delhi Gate), New Delhi. Hon’ble Lt. Governor of Delhi, Sh. Najeeb Jung was also grace the occasion. This is the second International Bus Service being operated by Delhi Transport Corporation. Delhi Transport Corporation is operating Delhi-Lahore International Bus Service since 1999.

This bus service would run between Delhi and Kathmandu daily and would cover the distance of 1250Kms. between the two cities in about 30 hrs. The fare of the bus will be Rs.2300/-per passenger. The bus will depart from Delhi at 10.00am from Dr. Ambedkar Stadium Terminal and from Swayam Bhu, Kathmandu at 9.00am regularly.

Delhi Transport Corporation will operate this bus service on regular basis with an Air Conditioned VOLVO bus. This International Bus Service will travel via Yamuna Express Highway, Agra, Firozabad, Kanpur, Lucknow, Gorakh Pur & Sunauli and thereafter will enter Nepal territory to reach Kathmandu. This bus service will run directly between Delhi- Kathmandu Cities and will neither pickup nor drop any passenger anywhere in between. It has also been decided to provide stops in between almost every six hours at Firozabad, Fazabad, Sunouli (Border) & Mugling (in Nepal) so that passengers can eat and freshen up. There is facility of advance booking for the tickets at Dr. Ambedkar Stadium Terminal for the convenience of passengers. Advance booking can be made 60 days in advance. The passengers have to carry proof of Identification while purchasing the ticket and during the journey. The details of this bus service are also uploaded on the web site of DTC.
