Punjab National Bank signs MOU with BSNL & MTNL

Shri Gauri Shankar, Managing Director and CEO Punjab National Bank and Sh. Anupam Srivastava, CMD BSNL exchanged MOU documents on 3rd August 2015 at PNB Head Office in the presence of Sh. K.V. Brahmaji Rao and Dr. Ram S Sangapure, Executive Directors, Corporate General Manager and Sr. Executives of MTNL and BSNL.

Punjab National Bank (PNB), BSNL and MTNL inked Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for another term of 3 years. PNB, BSNL and MTNL had joined hands together in year 2004 and since then BSNL & MTNL are the primary link providers for providing connectivity to branches, ATMS and service outlets of the Bank.

Shri Gauri Shankar, MD & CEO, Punjab National Bank mentioned that in the banking sector – networking plays a crucial role in ensuring real time flow of financial information and connectivity is the key to 24x7x365 working of network. BSNL and MTNL have been the backbone of PNB’s Vast Network comprising of 6208 branches/offices and 8430ATMs.

Shri Anupam Srivastava, CMD BSNL, said “The Company is committed in ensuring the uptime of links and assured that BSNL would leverage the latest in telecommunication technology to meet the ever growing needs of PNB”.

Shri Sunil Kumar, Director-MTNL added that MTNL is proud to be associated with one of country’s largest Public Sector Bank in delivering banking and financial services in the country.

PNB has initiated steps in implementing Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) technology which would help in efficient management and better uptime of network and BSNL/MTNL would be preferred Service providers for the same. Speaking on the occasion, Sh. K.V. Brahmaji Rao, Executive Director PNB extended vote of thanks.
