RAHUL GANDHI REMARKS MORE COMICAL THAN KAPIL SHARMA SAYS NARENDRA MODI

Narendra Modi compared to YAMRAJ By Congress

Ridiculing Rahul Gandhi’s allegations against him, Narendra Modi on Sunday said his remarks were comical and the Congress leader could soon force stand-up comedian Kapil Sharma to “shut his shop”.

Modi, who was addressing a public meeting in favour of firebrand BJP leader Uma Bharti, also targeted Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for his comments on the ‘Modi wave’ in the country, saying that the PM had also failed to see corruption in his government and only the “mother-son duo” were visible to him, in a reference to Sonia Gandhi and Rahul.

“I feel the TV serial of comedian Kapil Sharma will close in a few days. His (Gandhi) videos can be shown by TV people and all the exertion of the elections will go away. You will not have to go anywhere for entertainment,” Modi said at an election rally in Jhansi.

He said, “Gandhi at his rally in Gujarat had said that there are 27,000 crore posts vacant in the state, but he failed to realise that India’s population is only about 125 crore.”

On Rahul’s statement regarding Lokayukta, he said “it was Gujarat’s Lokayukta, who held a former Congress Chief Minister guilty of corruption and now his son was minister in the Centre.”

Rahul on Saturday said Modi would have been in jail had Lokayukta and RTI Commissioners been in place in Gujarat.

Attacking SP government in Uttar Pradesh, Modi alleged that here number of fire-arm licences was higher than number of families.

On the role of the Election Commission in Bundelkhand, the Gujarat chief minister said “the importance of the election body will be proven only if it ensures a safe polling for the people who are being terrorised by other parties using guns.”

Referring to her leaked video clip in which she described Modi a “Vinash Purush” (agent of destruction), BJP’s candidate from the constituency Uma Bharti said she has great regard and respect for the BJP’s prime ministerial nominee.

“Those who have leaked the clip failed to realise that two days after that incident I traveled through Gujarat and saw the development with my own eyes. I was impressed with it,” she added.

She said the main issues in Bundelkhand are law and order, education, employment, water and electricity and if BJP comes to power, it will work toward providing these necessities to the people.

Attacking Rahul Gandhi, Bharti said his Bundelkhand package has failed to reach the people.

On the ‘outsider’ tag being levelled on her by her opponents, Bharti said, “They say, I’m from outside, but I want to ask them where is Sonia Gandhi from. They can accept her, but not a daughter of Lalitpur.”
