RAHUL GANDHI TAKES A DIG AT PRIME MINISTER OVER SOCIAL MEDIA USE

RAHUL GANDHI IDEAL CHOICE FOR PRIME MINISTER POST AFTER 2014 POLLS...

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Saturday took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his advice to bureaucrats not to use social media for self-promotion or spend too much time online, suggesting that the Prime Minister was not leading by example himself.

“Leading by example is clearly overrated,” the office of Mr. Gandhi tweeted.

The dig was clearly aimed at the PM’s presence on the internet, with his Twitter handle showing 29.3-million followers, making him the most followed leader in the country. Mr. Gandhi was referring to reports that the PM said that while it was all right to spread awareness about government programmes through social media, it was not good to spend too much time on the social media.
