ONE PERSON ARRESTED.
VALUE OF SEIZED CONTRABAND IS ABOUT 1.5 CRORES IN INTERNATIONAL MARKET.
INTRODUCTION:-
As a result of the untiring efforts and working on leads obtained during interrogation of arrested criminals, a team of officers of Narcotics Cell consisting of Inspr Vivek Pathak, SI Sunil Jain, HCs Yogesh, Rajesh Kumar under the supervision of ACP Zile Singh and overall guidance of DCP Bhisham Singh arrested Ishwar Lal (age 22 years) s/o late Raja Ram r/o District Pratapgarh, Rajasthan who is involved in trafficking of drugs and has recovered 1 kg 100 gm of fine quality heroin having international value of Rs.1.5 crore.
INFORMATION AND TEAM:-
SI Sunil Jain had received an input that one person namely Ishwar Lal, residing in Pratapgarh, Rajasthan, who used to supply heroin in whole-sale would be coming near bus stop Ganesh Nagar, Mother Dairy Road, Patparganj, Delhi to supply heroin to one of his contacts. Information was further developed and a trap was laid at the expected place and at the instance of the informer, one person namely Ishwar Lal (age 22 years) s/o late Raja Ram r/o District Pratapgarh, Rajasthan was apprehended and 1 kg 100 gm of fine quality heroin having international value of estimated Rs.1.5 crore was recovered from his possession. A case vide FIR No.23/14 dated 04.03.2014 u/s 21 of NDPS Act has been registered at PS Crime Branch.
INTERROGATION AND PROFILE:-
The accused was put to sustained interrogation. During interrogation, he revealed that they are one brother and one sister in all. Both are married. He has a son out of this wedlock. His father is a potter and they have 2-3 bighas of agriculture land in his village. He studied upto class 3rd only, but left his studies due to bad company & poor economic conditions. He came in contact with one Jaideep of Pratapgarh, who offered him lucrative offer in supply of heroin. To earn quick and easy money, he agreed to supply heroine. Through Jaideep, he came into contact of one Raju Patidar of Partapgarh and started supplying heroin to the parties of Raju Patidar also in Delhi & Haryana. Raju Patidar has handed over this recovered consignment to him to further supply it to one of his contacts in Delhi, but he was apprehended before he could deliver this consignment.
Efforts are on to apprehend the source and further investigation of the case is in progress.
