PNB laid Foundation Stone of Farmer Training Centre at Pilwai
Mrs. Usha Ananthsubramanian MD & CEO, Punjab National Bank laid down Foundation Stone of Farmer Training Centre (FTC) at Pilwai, Mehasana District, Gujarat. On this occasion Sh.Vallabh Bhai Waghasiya Minister of State, Gujarat for Agriculture & Power Department was also present. This will be the first FTC in Gujarat State which will help benefit farmers around the Mehsana district by giving various training to Farmers. The function was attended by about 500 farmers from various Talukas of Mehsana district. On this occasion Punjab National Bank distributed 50 bicycles to girl students, 30 computer sets to 6 Govt. Schools under Corporate Social Responsibility. Also were given scholarship to 50 students under PNB Kisan Balak Shiksha Protsahan Yojna and distributed 130 Mudra Card, Dairy Loans to 130 women beneficiaries.
In another function Smt. Usha Ananthsubramanian inaugurated 110th branch in Ahmedabad Circle at St. Xavier Road. A Composite Credit camp was organized at Bhai Kaka Bhawan, Ahmedabad in which various Loans under Mudra, MSME, Retail Loans amounting to Rs. 210 Crore were disbursed. In this event PNB given scholarship to 63 students ‘PNB Kisan Balak Shiksha Protsahan Yojna’, under PNB LADLI Scheme given scholarship was given to 13 girls students and Hospital Beds were given to Thakkershey Charitable Trust, Ahmedabad. On these occasions Dr. Rakesh Gupta, Corporate General Manager, Sh. S.K.Wadhwa, Zonal Manager, Mumbai and Smt. Vibha Aren, Circle Head Ahmedabad were also present.
