ADDITIONAL SECRETARY CENTRAL VIGILANCE COMMISSION VISITS PNB HEAD OFFICE ADDRESSES TOP EXECUTIVES

On the concluding day of Vigilance Awareness Week being observed from 31st October 2016 to 5th November, 2016, Shri Salim Haque, Additional Secretary, CVC  addressed the top executives of the Bank at Head Office of Punjab National Bank, Bhikaiji Cama Place, New Delhi.  He stressed on the need of public participation in promoting integrity and eradication of corruption. He opined that as corruption affects the poor people most because public policies and public resources are largely beneficial to them, it can be eradicated only with the active participation of public at large.

Shri Haque also distributed certificates and prizes to the winners of Essay Writing Competition held on this occasion.  The subject of the competition was “Public participation in promoting integrity and eradication of corruption”.

The programme was chaired by Smt. Usha Ananthasubramanian, Managing Director & CEO.  Dr. R S Sangapure, Executive Director of Punjab National Bank welcomed the Chief Guest Shri Salim Haque, Additional Secretary, CVC.  

Shri Satish K Nagpal, Chief Vigilance Officer briefed the gathering about different activities undertaken during Vigilance Awareness Week at Head Office as well as in the field.

The programme was attended by the Executive Directors and all the Corporate General Managers and Divisional Heads of Head Office Divisions as well as Zonal Manager, Delhi Zone.  The Deputy General Managers of Zonal Audit Offices and Vigilance Officers also attended the programme through video conference.

The meeting ended with a vote of thanks by Shri Sanjeev Sharan, Executive Director.
