New Delhi, April 12: Union Minister of Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises, Anant Geete, reviewed the performance and the future readiness of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited during a visit to the company’s Corporate Office at Siri Fort, New Delhi. Atul Sobti, CMD, BHEL and all Functional Directors on the Board of BHEL, welcomed the Minister.
Girish Shankar, Secretary, Dept. of Heavy Industry (DHI); Dr. SC Pandey, AS&FA, Dept. of Industrial Policy & Promotion, RK Singh, Joint Secretary/DHI and other senior officials of DHI and BHEL were also present on the occasion.
Hon’ble Minister was briefed about the performance trends of the company, its strengths in project execution, initiatives taken for enhancing competitiveness and building R&D capabilities. Apart from the new initiatives and strategies for growth, the challenges being faced by the company in the prevailing subdued business environment were also explained.
