ANOTHER FEATHER IN THE POWER PSU HAT- NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam TO SUPPLY POWER TO BANGLADESH
NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam (NVVN) is the Nodal Agency for Supply of Power to Bangladesh expected to commence from September, 2013.
Md. Anwar Hossain, Joint Secretary (Development), Power Division, Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, Government of Bangladesh, handed over Sovereign Guarantee to Shri Nand Kishore Sharma, CEO-NVVN at Dhaka in presence of Chairman BPDB, First Secretary Indian High Commission, Dhaka and other Sr. Officials of BPDB and NVVN. Sovereign Guarantee is an instrument of Payment Security against supply of 250MW Power for 25 years from various power stations of NTPC under the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) entered into between NVVN and BPDB on 28thFeb. 2012.
