BE READY TO FACE ROUGH BANKING AS BANKS MAY BE SHUT FOR ALMOST A WEEK OWING TO WEEK LONG HOLIDAYS.
The holidays work out this way: March 28 is Ram Nawami, March 29 (Sunday), March 30 (banks will be open), March 31 and April 1 (banks will be closed due to annual closing), April 2 (Mahavir Jayanti), April 3 (Good Friday), April 4 (banks will be open for few hours only as it is Saturday) and April 5 (Sunday).
Meanwhhile Assocham has asked the central bank and government to make some alternative arrangements for the same as the holidays off may create problems for banking consumers.
