Kolhapur: The BJP will contact every member enrolled recently with the party in order to strengthen the organisation, party’s state unit President Raosaheb Danve said today.
“Our aim is not to stay and enjoy ourselves while we are in power. To achieve our goals, a ‘Maha Sampark Abhiyan’ would be initiated wherein all the party members would strive to strengthen the organisation till the grassroot level,” said Danve after assuming charge of the party’s Maharashtra unit chief today.
“The government and the organisation are the two wheels that need to be balanced. The party organisation should be able to form a bridge between the government and the people,” he told party workers at the BJP’s state executive meet here.
“The BJP will contact every member enrolled recently with the party in order to strengthen the organisation,” Danve said.
He also said that necessary lessons on balancing the party and government can be taken from the BJP organisation in Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat where it is in power for over 15 years.
“The pro-people approach of the governments as well as their coordination with the party has led to the success,” he said.
He enumerated the achievements of the state as well as the Union government and also highlighted the party organisation’s achievements in Maharashtra in last six months.
Danve also spoke about his career and praised the democratic framework maintained in the party “that enables even a small party worker to rise to the state president’s post.”
At the beginning of today’s session, outgoing President Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis proposed Danve’s name for the post of the party’s state unit chief.
Fadnavis described Danve as the ‘farmer face’ of the state party unit and a politician who identifies with the common man.
