BLIND MURDER CASE SOLVED BY DELHI POLICE POLICE STATION STAFF MOTI NAGAR

The staff of Police Station Moti Nagar, West District has worked out a blind murder case of retired army officer (Honorary Captain) by arresting two accused namely Lal Kamal Punj @ Kamal Punj @ Sonu   and (2) Dinesh Manik @ Deepu.  The motorcycle Cycle used in committing the crime has also been recovered.

On 21.10.13 at 8.50 PM an information was received at PS Moti Nagar that one person has been injured near a house in Sudarshan Park, Delhi.  Immediately, Insp. Shalender Tomar (SHO Moti Nagar) and Insp. Ramesh Kalsan along with staff rushed to the spot and found that the injured had already been removed to Achrya Shri Bhikshu Hospital, Moti Nagar.  On reaching the Hospital it was found that the doctor had declared him brought dead. The deceased was identified as Parasram S/O Sardari Lal R/O B-462, Sudarshan Park Delhi.

 

The daughter of deceased was contacted who stated that she was inside the house when she heard the scream of her father. Immediately, she came out of the house and found her father lying injured in the street. She immediately contacted her cousin and shifted him to the hospital, where the doctor declared him brought dead.  She alleged that some unknown person had murdered her father. On her statement a case FIR No.398/13 dated 21.10.13 u/s 302/34 IPC has been registered at PS Moti Nagar and investigation was taken up by Insp. Ramesh Kalsan (Insp. Investigation) of PS Moti Nagar.

 

In order to solve the case special team consisting of SHO Moti Nagar, SI Gulshan Nagpal, HC Satparkash, Ct. Krishan and Ct. Amit of PS Moti Nagar was constituted under the supervision of Sh. Eish Singhal, ACP Rajouri Garden. During the investigation it was revealed that the deceased had retired from the army as Honorary Captain.  He was earlier married to Smt. Usha who had left him alongwith her children about 20 years back.  She had two sons and one daughter from the deceased. Shri Paras Ram Punj again married with Smt. Anita with whom he had one daughter.

The staff of Police Station Moti Nagar has worked day and night to work out the case.  The CCTV footage of the locality were examined.  The technical surveillance was also mounted.  It was revealed that Kamal was in constant touch with Danish Manik before the incident. Local intelligence was collected and it was found that the deceased had strained relation with Lal Kamal Punj.  Though Lal Kamal Punj was married in Delhi in 2006 but he left the place as he was not happy with the behaviour of his father and other family members.  Since the deceased was in total control of the entire property and nothing was given to Lal Kamal Punj. The investigation further revealed that the deceased had bought a property at Chandni Chowk where both father and son were doing business of surgical equipments. To make a quick money  Kamal @ Sonu allegedly sold this shop without informing to his father.  He was also not expecting any share in property.

 

The investigation further revealed that the deceased had planned to transfer all his property in favour of his wife namely Anita. He has also disowned his son namely Lal Kamal Punj.  The accused conspired with Dinesh Manik at Panipat about one month before the incident and decided to eliminate his father so that he could acquire the entire property in Delhi which is more than 02 crores in the market.  It was also decided that Dinesh Manik would be given 25% share of the entire property if he fulfills his promise.

 

On the  fateful day both the accused Lal Kamal Punj and Dinesh Manik reached Delhi at about 8.00 PM and conducted raccee of the house.  Both had taken strategic position in the street.  At about 8.25 PM the deceased was spotted by his son and Dinesh Manik in the street.  Both followed the deceased for some distance and finding an opportunity Dinesh Manik stabbed him just near to his house.  After committing the crime both managed to flee from the spot on motorcycle to Panipat.  The motorcycle used in committing the crime have been recovered.  Further investigation is in progress.

 

Staff involved in good work is being rewarded suitably.
