The Central Board of Direct Taxes has announced that Aadhaar card and Permanent Account Number (PAN) can be linked till March 31, 2023. However, linking the two from April 1, 2022 will attract a fine of ₹500 till June 2022 and 1,000 after that. Earlier, CBDT said PAN would become inoperative if not linked with Aadhaar by March 31, 2022 reported hindustantimes.com
