China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) on Thursday delivered a strong message to India, saying Delhi should “draw lessons” from the Doklam stand-off or “similar incidents could repeat”.
The comments from PLA spokesperson and senior colonel Wu Qian came in response to questions from Chinese media at the monthly press briefing of the Defence Ministry in Beijing.
Asked about Indian Army Chief General Rawat’s recent comments on Chinese deployments in the area, Senior Colonel Wu said the (Indian) army chief had made several remarks on Doklam.
“We hope the Indian side can draw lessons to avoid similar incidents repeating in the future,” he said, reiterating China’s view that India had “illegally trespassed”.
