COAL SCAM HAS BADLY AFFECTED BHEL IN THE LAST TWO YEARS LEADING TO PROCUREMENT OF LESS ORDERS SAYS ANANT GEETE

Bhopal:   Union Heavy Industries Minister Anant Geete on Thursday said the coal scam has badly affected BHEL in the last two years.

Talking to reporters at his residence, Geete said since the coal scam, many power units could not be set up leading to BHEL getting less orders. BHEL manufactures power equipment.

The minister said BHEL’s turnover has come down to Rs.30,000 crore from Rs.50,000 crore due to the coal scam.

He said things have now changed as the Supreme Court has allocated coal mines and Prime Minister Narendra Modi too has take various significant steps. All this will lead to improvement of BHEL.
