Rae Bareli: Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Wednesday filed her nomination papers from the Rae Bareli Lok Sabha seat.
Sonia Gandhi, 67, who will be seeking re-election from the seat, was accompanied by party’s vice president and her son Rahul Gandhi while presenting her papers before the Returning Officer.
“The people of Rae Bareli have adopted me with immense affection and I hope they will make me victorious again in the election,” she told reporters in a brief interaction after filing her nomination.
