Delhi Transport Minister Shri Gopal Rai today informed that Transport Department Launch special drive against erring TSR drivers.
Shri Rai said that Transport Department has deployed 44 Enforcement teams in 3 shifts. Transport Minister said that Civil Defence volunteers deployed with the teams for escorting the impounded vehicles for parking at Burari.
Shri Rai instructed Enforcement teams to focus Checking preferably near Hospitals, Railway Stations, Metro Stations & ISBTs in their respective District.
The Enforcement teams impounded 202 erring TSRs u/s 207 of MV Act.
Transport Department instructed the Auto Drivers to display a board 15X6 made by poly vinayl material, displaying home place while returning to their home.
Against the Defaulting autos, all the proceedings will lock and no fitness will be given.
It is made compulsory for all TSR drivers to wear Uniform and PSV Badge.
Total 755 complaints received against TSR during June, 2015.
