Delhi Jal Board starts SMS facility for regular interaction with its consumers.

·         Consumers will get updates on bills, payments made, pending payments etc.

·         Consumers will also be informed via SMS in case of any disruption of water supply in an area.

·         Consumer can register their mobile number with DJB by SMS or through the DJB website to get regular updates

·         Registration via SMS can be done by typing DJBIN<space> <10 DIGIT K NO.> and sending it via SMS to 7738299899.

Delhi Jal Board has taken one more step in improving consumers’ convenience and satisfaction by using information technology.  It will now have regular e-interaction with its consumers via SMS facility. The CEO Delhi Jal Board, Shri SS Yadav today informed that this would benefit more than 21 lakh consumers of DJB.

Shri SS Yadav said that to get regular information from DJB the consumer will have to link his/her mobile number with his/her ten digits KNO.  This can easily be done by sending SMS or by registering at DJB revenue department website www.djb.gov.in.  Registration via SMS can be done by typing DJBIN<space> <10 DIGIT K NO.> and sending it via SMS to 7738299899.

 Sh. S. S. Yadav informed that regular information about bills, payments made and pending payment will be sent via SMS to the consumers who have registered their mobile number with the DJB.  They will also be alerted about due date of payments through SMS, he added.  Sh. S. S. Yadav further informed that SMS facility will also be used to make the consumer aware and to enlist their participation in important causes like rain water harvesting, water conservation etc.  In case of disconnection in water supply due to bursting of pipeline, consumers of the area concerned will be intimated.  New developments regarding water and drainage related issues will also be communicated through SMS facility.

       DJB has requested its consumers to come forward and link their mobile number with their K NOs either through DJB website or via SMS so that grievances of non-receipt of bills, and non-receipt of information about payment etc can be minimised.  For more information, consumers can dial DJB’s toll free Customer Care No. 1916.

Sh. S. S. Yadav, CEO, DJB has lauded the efforts of the Revenue Department of DJB and said that this facility will be extremely useful to the consumers to get updates on their bill and payment related issues and also in keeping the consumers updated on water supply situation in their area.
