DELHI TRAFFIC POLICE PROVIDES GREEN CORRIDOR TO TRANSPORT A HUMAN HEART IN RECORD 16 MINUTES,SAVE A HUMAN LIFE

In a yet another instance of transportation of a human organ to save a life, Delhi Traffic Police has provided “Green Corridor” to a human heart which was transported from B. L. Kapur Super Speciality Hospital, Pusa Road, Karol Bagh to Max Super Speciality Hospital, Saket. A distance of 20 km was covered in a record16 minutes. The route taken was B. L. Kapur Super Speciality Hospital – PusaRound about – DevPrakashShastriMarg – Prof. Ram NathVizMarg – VandeMatramMarg – Ring Road – AIIMS – AurobindoMarg – PTS Malviya Nagar – Press Enclave Road – Malviya Nagar Metro Station – Max Super Speciality Hospital, Saket.
In the midnight of 31st July/1st August, 2015, a request was received from B.L. Kapur Hospital to provide Green Corridor for transportation of human heart to Max Hospital, Saket. Immediately, traffic arrangements were made on the route to Max Hospital. Ambulance carrying human heart alongwith the team of doctors left the Hospital at around 3 am and reached Max Hospital in 16 minutes covering a distance of 20 km. It is learnt that the heart was donated by a brain dead person.
Delhi Traffic Police ensured that there is no obstruction/traffic jam on the route. We are happy to contribute in the noble cause of saving a life.
