- DELHI HAS 127 CINEMA HALLS AND 24 MULTIPLEX CINEMAS

Delhi Statistical Hand Book -2014 brought out by the Directorate of Economics & Statistics, Govt. of NCT of Delhi released today, contains data on various socio-economic parameters under 23 broad chapters.
The per capita income of Delhi during 2013-14 is Rs. 2,19,979/- which is the highestamong the major states. It has increased by `27,392/- in comparison to 2012-13.
The number of vehicles in 2012-13 were 77.74 lakh which increased to 82.93 lakh in 2013-14. The number of cars and jeeps in 2013-14 in Delhi is 26.29 lakh and motorcycles and scooters are 52.98 lakh. DTC services were availed by around 43.47 lakhs daily average passengers during 2013-14. The fleet of DTC buses is 5216 out of which 1275 are air conditioned.
About 2.49 crore cases of IMFL, Country liquor and Indian beer together were consumed in Delhi during 2013-14. There are 151 cinemas theatres and multiplexes in Delhi offering 635 average shows per day with 1.15 lakh persons watching movies.
There are around 39.54 lakhs domestic electricity consumers during 2013-14. The total numbers of consumers are 48.97 lakhs. As regards water, per capita consumption in Delhi is 48 gallons per day with 16, 02,099, metered and 4,69,705 un-metered connections. The generation of water in Delhi was 855 MGD in 2013.
There are 1015 health institutions with 44,900 beds in Delhi as on 31st December 2013. About 225 maternity and child welfare centre, 11 TB clinics and 1223 dispensaries are functional in Delhi. The total numbers of schools in Delhi were 5453 in 2013-14 as compared to 5155 during 2012-13. Around 43.86 lakh children were enrolled at different level in these schools during 2013-14 as compared to 42.69 lakh during 2012-13.
The total numbers of telephone connections in Delhi were 4.57 crores in 2013 as compared to 4.34 crores in 2012.
Average number of beneficiaries of old age pension was 3.76 lakhs in 2013-14. Under Ladli scheme 1.87 lakhs girls were benefited during 2013-14 as compared to 1.61 lakhs during 2012-13.
