In an interactive session with DJB’s field level functionaries and the senior officials, Sh. Arvind Kejriwal, Hon’ble CM, Delhi addressed the Meter Readers, Meter Inspectors and the Joint DD’s of DJB in the presence of Sh. Kapil Mishra, Hon’ble Minister for Water and Chairperson, DJB, Sh. Dinesh Mohaniya, Vice Chairperson, DJB, Sh. Keshav Chandra, CEO, DJB, Director Of Revenue and other DJB Officials and staff at 12.00 noon on 18th March, 2016 at Maharashtra Rangayan Auditorium, Aram Bhag, New Delhi.

  The meeting was aimed at improving the productivity and enhancing the work efficiency of DJB’s employees. These employees are the contact point of consumers thereby bridging the gap between the consumers and the entity. Being the ones to deal with the consumers frequently, they were advised to cater to the consumer queries regarding the ongoing Schemes of DJB for smooth and transparent functioning of the entity.

Appreciating the hard work of the field functionaries, Sh. Arvind Kejriwal, Hon’ble CM, Delhi said, “The Meter Readers are an important part of the DJB family as they are a link between DJB and its consumers and it is in this context that my address to them becomes more significant. Further, he also highlighted the ongoing DJB schemes i.e. the Rebate Scheme, the New Water Connection Scheme and the mSeva Mobile Application and focused on the fact that meter readers should explain their details to the consumers and deliver the CM’s letter to them. He also said, that it is the responsibility of the Delhi Govt. to provide piped water supply to all the household of the city by 2017 and congratulated Sh. Kapil Mishra, Chairperson, DJB, Sh. Keshav Chandra, and other officials who have thought of innovative solution to meet the water needs of the residents of Delhi. However, he reiterated that any kind of malpractice related to billing of the water bill will not be tolerated and strong measures will be taken to combat that.
