DJB DOMESTIC CONSUMERS OF WATER CONSUMING UPTO 20 KILOLITRES OF WATER PER MONTH TO BE EXEMPTED FROM PAYING WATER BILLS
New Delhi: Today, in the 114th meeting of the Delhi Jal Board chaired by Shri Arvind Kejriwal, Chief Minister, Delhi, and Chairperson, Delhi Jal Board, the following important policy issues were decided after discussion with the members of the Board.
It was decided that domestic consumers, having functional meters consuming upto 20 Kilolitres per month will be exempted from making payment of water bills. The consumers consuming more than 20 Kilolitres will be required to pay the full bill amount as per the water tariff which has been increased by 10%.
The Board will continue to extend benefit of the scheme for the Late Payment Surcharge (LPSC) waiver and 30% rebate on arrears upto 31.03.2014.
