Delhi Pollution Control Committee launches two days Cleanliness drive on 20th & 21stNovember in the major Hospitals of Delhi under “Swacch Bharat Abhiyan”.
- Seven teams constitutes by Delhi Pollution Control Committee to check the liquid & solid waste management in the hospitals.
- A seminar on “DELHI AS GREEN CITY” to be organized tomorrow at IITF, Hall No. 8, Pragati Maiden by Environment & Forest Deptt.

Moving abreast with the “Swacch Bharat Abhiyan”, Delhi Pollution Control Committee launched two days drive on 20/11/2014 & 21/11/2014 in the major Hospitals of Delhi. Seven teams consisting of senior officials of DPCC are formed for the purpose to check the liquid & solid waste management in the hospitals and general sanitation in the hospitals. Safdarjang Hospital, AIIMS, Babu Jagjivan Ram, Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar Hospital, Raja Harischandra Hospital, Lal Bhadur Shastri Hospital, Max Hospital Saket & Northern Railways were covered in the drive.
Lal Bahdur Shastri Hospital & Northern Railways hospitals were found complying with the Waste Management rules and their general sanitation condition was found satisfactory. The observations made during the inspection were photographed and brought immediately into the notice of the hospital authorities with the directions that the deficiencies observed during the inspection be rectified within a week. The inspections will be continued in the next week too for checking the compliance of deficiencies observed during the inspections.
Environment & Forest Deptt of Delhi Government is also organizing a seminar on “DELHI AS GREEN CITY” in the first half of Saturday on 22/11/2014 at Hall No. 8, Pragati Maiden for the awareness of visitors in India International Trade Fair- 2014.
