FIVE STATIONS OF NTPC RECEIVES NATIONAL AWARDS FOR MERITORIOUS PERFORMANCE IN POWER SECTOR
New Delhi: Five Stations of NTPC received the National Awards for Meritorious Performance in Power Sector for the year 2013-14. Dadri Gas(840 MW) received the Silver Award, Korba(2600 MW) and Ramagundam(2600 MW) received the Bronze Award, Vindhyachal(4260 MW) and Anta (419 MW) received the Certificate of Merit. These awards for efficiency and performance in the sector were presented by Shri PiyushGoyal, Hon’ble Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Power, Coal and New & Renewable Energy at a function held in New Delhi today.
Present installed capacity of NTPC is 44,598 ( including 6196 MW through JVs ) comprising of 40 power stations – 17 coal based, 7 combined cycle gas/liquid fuel, 1 hydro , 7 Joint Venture Stations ( 6 coal based and one gas based) and 8 renewable energy projects. During FY 2014-15, all coal stations of NTPC achieved Declared Capacity of above 83%. NTPC Coal stations achieved PLF of 80.23% as against National PLF of 64.46%.
