DLSA Shahdara-East District,  Organised  FREE  LEGAL  AWARENESS CAMP

On the occasion of GANDHI JAYANTI , October 02, 2014, Delhi Legal Service Authority (DLSA), Shahdara-East District  was organised “FREE LEGAL AWARENESS CAMP” at Police Station Shahdara, Delhi. On that occasion Police Station Shahdara, North-East District, SHO Shree Kiran Pal Rana & DLSA Shahdara District Advocate Shree Kuldeep Kumar Gaur was present; they requested all the people to make awareness to use services of DLSA as much as possible for them.

DLSA Shahdara District Advocate Shree Kuldeep Kumar Gaur told that “JUSTICE FOR ALL”,   a good society is one which is based upon law and justice. Article 39A makes provision of “Free Legal Aid” for SC/ST’s, Woman or a child, Poor Citizens, Senior Citizens who are economical weak, etc. The constitutional obligation of the state to ensure that the poor citizens are provided Free Legal Aid.

He further told that Domestic Violence is a main problem against the women. Central Government also passed many act in subject on Domestic Violence as like The Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005. Domestic violence also arose due to the dowry. The Dowry Prohibition Act was passed in 1961, to prevent the domestic violence against women. Rajya Sabha passed The Women’s Reservation Bill on March 9, 2010, which is given equality to the women.

He further told that The Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act 2007 are provided legal right to Senior Citizens to take the maintenance from our children.
