INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION AT PNB – MD & CEO SMT. USHA ANANTHASUBRAMANIAN RECALLS THE VALUE OF FREEDOM IN HER ADDRESSAL
New Delhi: On the momentous occasion of country’s 69th Independence Day, the National Flag was unfurled by Smt. Usha Ananthasubramanian, Managing Director and CEO Punjab National Bank at Corporate Head Office Building, Bhikhaiji Cama Place, New Delhi. A large number of senior officers, staff members of the bank and their family members attended the function. On this occasion, Shri Gauri Shankar, Executive Director of the Bank administered the National Pledge to all present followed by National Anthem.
2. Addressing the august gathering, Smt. Usha Ananthasubramanian, MD & CEO recalled the value of the freedom. He mentioned that the Banking Industry is passing through most challenging phase and each of us to strive hard to retain our lead and contribute in nation building. He exhorted all members of PNB parivar to take prompt and right decision in the interest of bank, society and nation. Quoting from the National Pledge, she said just as we should respect and honour our parents, teachers and elders, we in the service industry, must also respect and honour our esteemed customers.
3. On this occasion, Smt. Sunita Rani Gupta and Smt. Latika Sangapure, Vice Presidents, PNB Prerna alongwith other Prerna members donated Wheel Chairs and Sewing machines to differently abled person and women beneficiaries as part of CSR activity.
The function ended with release of tricolour balloons in the air by children.
