INDIAN FEDERATION OF WORKING JOURNALISTS RE-ELECTS MR. K. VIKRAM RAO AS ITS PRESIDENT

NEW DELHI: July 28: The Indian Federation of Working Journalists (IFWJ) today re-elected unopposed Mr. K. Vikram Rao, formerly of the Times of India, Mumbai, as its president for year 2016-18.
The IFWJ Central Returning Officer, Dr. Debashish Bose of Bihar, and the ACRO, Dr. Upendra Padhi of Orissa, announced here after the scrutiny of presidential nominations that out of a total of 25 constituent union, 18(eighteen) states had filed Mr. Vikram Rao’s nomination papers. It included Manipur, Kerala, Jammu & Kashmir, Delhi, Maharashtra, Tamilnadu and Bihar among others.
The CROs said that the process of elections of 250 National Councilors had begun and the nationwide poll process will be completed by October. The new Working Committee will be elected by these National Councillors at the 30th Plenary Session in Bangalore by this year-end.
