Indraprastha Apollo Hospital first to introduce the Breakthrough radiation free technology “PET SUITE” for Cancer & Neuro suspected patients first time in India
Breakthrough radiation free technology for cancer& neurology related problems detection first time in India after Singapore,Beijing and Japan only at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital.
Indraprastha Apollo Hospital will be unveiling its World’s first PET SUITE on Saturday 16th February at the hospital premises which will be inaugurated by none other than the Chief Minister of Delhi Shiela Dikshit.

In a discussion with Dr. Shubham Sogani ,Head-PET SUITE he elaborated the benefits of PET SUITE over prevailing technologies PET CT and MRI.CT involves the subjection of body to radiation which harm body tissue whereas such is not the case with MRI in terms of radiation as the name itself suggest Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
According to Dr. Sogani the PET SUITE is first time being introduced in India, the technology evolved two years back and its a brand new technology for cancer and neurology.The USP of this technology is that it’s radiation free with high quality image processing.This PET SUITE comprises of South Asia’s First PET MRI and a 427 slices per second ultra HD PET CT with Time of Flight technology.Already 100 tests had been carried out on this technology.The test takes around half an hour as compared to the lengthy time to go through two tests CT & MRI.
This technology being introduced first time in INDIA by Indraprastha Apollo Hospital is a boon to the CANCER detection at an early stage where it can be cured as the cancer is being detected by previous technology in stage 2 or stage 3 where it becomes difficult for a doctor to treat as the disease had entered an advanced stage.Dr. Sogani also added that the project is under the expert guidance of none other than Dr.Amarnath who had been with Rajeev Gandhi Cancer Institute for the last 17 years.
This PET SUITE is considered to be the APEX of Medical technology.One test cost Rs.55,000/- INR 25% of the actual cost worldwide as in Singapore this single test cost 4000 Singapore dollars and US and other countries somewhere around 4000 Euros.
