New Delhi, Aug 02 : Punjab National Bank, the leading Nationalized Bank in the country, has launched a Savings Deposit Campaign in all its branches across India from 01.08.2013 to 30.09.2013. The Campaign was inaugurated by K. R. Kamath, Chairman and Managing Director, Punjab National Bank on 01.08.2013 at Bhikaiji Cama Place Branch, New Delhi.
While inaugurating the Savings Deposits Campaign, Shri Kamath said that encouraged by the huge response of the employees of the Bank for the Campaigns last 2 years, this year also we are launching Campaign but this year the focus is only on bringing genuine quality accounts. He stated that each employee of the Bank will bring at least 5 quality accounts in rural areas and 10 quality accounts in other areas. Further, he also emphasized upon the objectives of the Campaign i.e. increasing the clientele base, regaining CASA supremacy, sustaining the deposits, improving overall customer service and involving staff at all levels in the development process.
The Savings Deposit Campaign is the Annual feature of Punjab National Bank and this campaign is third such in this series. During the campaign, intensive efforts are made to reach out to all prospective clients & open their Savings Fund accounts. The Bank offers Saving Deposit Account facility with a host of other Technology based facilities such as Self Service Area where customers can deposits, cash, cheque , withdraw cash and update passbook without manual intervention. Apart from it, there are facilities such as Mobile Banking, SMS alerts, ASBA, Debit card with free Accidental Insurance, Credit Card, Royal Mediclaim Policy, free Internet Banking, etc. which add value for the customersThe Campaign launched would be in two phases i.e. mobilization phase i.e. 01.08.2013 to 30.09.2013 and sustenance phase from 01.10.2013 to 31.12.2013 and with the wholehearted efforts of the staff, would be able to generate 15 lakh new accounts.
The Executive Directors, Rakesh Sethi and S.R. Bansal as well as FGM Delhi S. R. Sharma also stressed upon the need to provide quick & courteous services to customers to make the Savings Deposit Campaign a grand success once again.
