In consonance with the objectives of the Delhi government to improve the situation of supply of drinking water to all the residents of Delhi, Delhi Jal Board is making consistent efforts to bring such areas into its improved piped water supply network. Sh. Kapil Mishra, Hon’ble Minister Water and Chairperson, DJB, inaugurated the work of Replacement of old damaged water line in Gali No. 18 to 22, Shanti Mohalla and the work of Providing and  Laying of sewer line in left out East Old Seelampur and Peepal wali Gali at Old Seelampur in AC-61 today i.e. 15-12-2016 at 11:00 AM in the presence of Sh. Anil Bajpai, MLA, Gandhi Nagar, Sh. R.S. Tyagi Member (WS), DJB, and other senior officials of Delhi Jal Board. The above mentioned works are likely to be completed within 3-4 months thereby benefitting all the residents of the said areas.

 

 

The existing water supply network in Shanti Mohalla Extn. Gali no. 18 to 22 is very old and at different places the water lines pass through manholes thereby contaminating the portable water in this area. Replacement of these water lines will improve the quality of water supplied. At present the water in being supplied through Kanti Nagar Under Ground Reservoir (UGR).

 

The work of Providing and Laying of sewer line in Gali no. 4, East old Seelampur, Main Road East Seelampur will improve the unhygienic conditions prevailing in this area. The outfall of this area will be discharged through peripheral sewerage network into Preet Vihar Sewage Pumping Station (SPS).The total cost of both the projects is estimated to be around 60 lacs.
