NEW CHIEF TO TAKE OVER DELHI POLICE- BHIM SAIN BASSI
Bhim Sain Bassi will take over as the new Police Commissioner of Delhi on August 1. He will take over the present CP delhi Neeraj kumar who will be retiring on July 31st.He was a DG of Goa police and was appointed as Special Commissioner(Traffic) in Delhi Police in 2011.
Born on Feb. 20,1956 Bassi is a 1977 batch IPS officer and will retire from service in Feb 2016.
He joined IPS in 1977 and worked in the capacity of special commissioner (vigilance), joint commissioner (southern range) and additional commissioner (northern range) of Delhi Police.
The main challenge before him would be the important issue of Women’s security in the capital.
