NTPC to maintain its stature with quality and quick delivery

 NTPC , India’s largest power utility having installed capacity of 41684 MW today celebrated its 38th raising day. Set up in the year 1975 to accelerate the power availability in the country , the company has met the expectation of its stakeholders in all aspects.

Addressing the employees on the occasion Dr. Arup Roy Choudhury, CMD  shared the success of the company on maintaining # 1 rank as top Independent Power Producer in the world for the year 2013 in Platts Global Energy Company Rankings which is matter of great pride. He congratulated team NTPC for turning plans for setting up projects in Sri Lanka and Bangladesh into reality. He said these projects have put NTPC on international map and are an opportunity to benchmark against the Global best. In his speech, he also spoke about NTPC now having 10 coal mines to take care of its fuel security and also the urgent need to commence mining operations. He  appreciated the efforts put in by employees stationed in brown and Greenfield projects inspite of difficulties.

He laid emphasis on the need for  quality assurance, cost consciousness, technological  and commercial prudence for best results for the company.  He appreciated the efforts of Commercial, Finance, Operations, Projects  and Human Resource Departments for taking the plans of the company forward. Expressing his satisfaction on the capacity addition front  he said that NTPC needs to keep the pace in coming years to grow and sustain its position as the leader in the sector.   

He exhorted the NTPC family to be ready to devote 24×7 in duty for the company to take it to greater heights  and assured them of continuity in best Human Resource initiatives the company is known for.
