PARTY DRUGS MAIN CONSTITUENT PSEUDO-EPHEDRINE 5 KG QUANTITY VALUED 35 LAKHS RECOVERED BY P.S AMAR COLONY DELHI WITH THE ARREST OF ONE PERSON
ONE PERSON ARRESTED WITH 5 KG. OF PSEUDO-EPHEDRINE (NARCOTICS DRUG).
RECOVERED PSEUDO-EPHEDRINE IS USED FOR MANUFACTURING OF PARTY DRUGS ‘ECSTASY’.
PRICE OF RECOVERED CONTRABAND IN INTERNATIONAL MARKET IS APPROXIMATELY RS. 35 LACS.
With the arrest of one drug pedlar namely Mohammad Kabil aged 40 years r/o Ghaziabad, UP, the staff of Police Station Amar Colony, South-East Distt. has recovered 5 Kg. of narcotic drug ‘Pseudo Ephedrine’ having approximate cost of Rs. 35 lacs in the international market. One motorcycle has also been seized from his possession.
TEAM AND OPERATION
About one month before, the staff of PS Amar Colony had recovered 51 Kg. of similar Pseudo-Ephedrine by apprehending two accused persons and during interrogation, it was revealed that the gangs indulged in illegal sale purchase of Pseudo-Ephedrine are further sending the same for processing of the Pseudo-Ephedrine for preparation of party drugs like Ecstasy, Ece etc. Subsequently, dedicated police teams consisting Inspr. Arvind Kumar SHO/Amar Colony, Inspr. Shivraj Singh Bisht, SI Narender, SI Ashish, HC Vijay Kumar, Ct. Shishukant and Ct. Anil under the supervision of Sh. Satish Kumar Kain ACP/Lajpat Nagar were deployed to get some clue about the persons indulged in illegal sale of narcotics drugs. The efforts of the police team bore result when one of the deployed sources gave information about movement of a drug paddler near Okhla Mandi, Delhi in the early morning of 19.11.15.
Acting upon this information, a trap was laid at Caption Gaur Marg Opposite Okhla Mandi. At about 7 AM, one person came there on a bike and at the instance of informer, he was apprehended by the team. He was identified as Mohammad Kabil r/o Ghaziabad, UP. During search of his bag, it was found to contain white colour powder weighing 5 Kg. and when it was checked with NDPS filed testing kit, it was found to be Pseudo-ephedrine. The same was seized and a case vide FIR No. 1220/15 u/s 9A/25A NDPS Act was registered at PS Amar Colony and investigation was taken up.
Pseudo-ephedrine is a controlled substance and used for manufacturing of narcotic drugs like “Ecstasy” and “ICS”, which is a party drug used commonly in rave parties. This controlled substance is to be regulated by licenses, permits or otherwise, the production, manufacture, possession, transportation, import inter-state, export interstate, sales, purchase, consumption, use, storage, distribution disposal or acquisition under strict norms set by the government through rules. Any unauthorised/illegal transportation/ supply/storage/selling/purchase etc. leads to the manufacture of psychotropic drugs.
INTERROGATION
The apprehended person was subjected to intensive interrogation during which, it was revealed that he works in a chemist shop in Bhagirath place, Delhi, which is said to be main hub of illegal sale of both Pseudo-ephedrine and other party drugs. He came in contact with one MK @ Doctor r/o Hapur Road, Ghaziabad, UP who started supplying Pseudo-ephedrine to him which he was further supplying to other persons at higher price.
Efforts are being made to identify and apprehend other members indulged in this racket.
PROFILE
Mohammad Kabil has studied upto class 10th. Initially, he joined as a Helper at a chemist shop in Bhagirath place. After sometime, he himself took a shop on rent and started supplying Ayurvedic medicines to other part of Delhi after taking order on phone. To earn huge money, he started selling narcotics drug Pseudo-ephedrine.
