“Picnic for Environment” was organized at India Gate with school children.
Ø Transport Minister Shri Gopal Rai also participated and addressed the children to save environment.
Ø About 1655 children and teachers of 41 schools participated.

To promote Odd-Even Scheme and save environment “Picnic for Environment” was organized at India Gate, opposite Children Park. 41 schools and approximately 1655 school children and their teachers participated in the Picnic on April 13th.
Delhi Transport Minister Shri Gopal Rai also participated in the Picnic and addressed the school children to save the environment besides encouraging them to take necessary steps for the same. On this occasion, Shri Rai flew balloons alongwith children.
On this occasion children presented “Nookker Natak”, Skits, and recited poems containing message regarding protection of environment. The children were also carrying placards, posters, banners, paintings etc. giving message to protect environment and ultimately to protect life on our planet Earth.
