PNB extended help for Leprosy Eradication

Sunil Mehta, Managing Director & CEO, Punjab National Bank presented a cheque to Sh Ram Nath Kovind, Hon’ble President of India in Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi, who is also President of Hind Kusht Nivaran Sangh,  as a helping hand towards eradication of leprosy. Sh. K V Brahmaji Rao,  Dr. R S Sangapure and Sh. Sanjiv Sharan, Executive Directors of the Bank, were also present on the occasion along with the executives of Hind Kusht Nivaran Sangh.

PNB has taken various initiatives as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility. PNB’s agenda for CSR is spreading literacy, social service, tree plantation drives, free medical camps, camps to distribute artificial limbs, blood donation camps, improving sanitary conditions by building toilets, support for the downtrodden weaker sections of society, orphans, underprivileged, spastics, handicapped, ambulances and building infrastructure facilities for various hospitals/schools, opening Library – cum – reading rooms in rural areas, etc. PNB is also running a Hockey Academy to promote National Game of Hockey. PNB has set up 11 Farmers Training Colleges and 57 Rural Self Employment Training Institutes(RSETI) for vocational and agricultural training, all over the country
