PNB extended help for Leprosy Eradication
Smt. Usha Ananthasubramanian, Managing Director & CEO, Punjab National Bank presented a cheque to Hon’able President, Sh Pranab Mukherji at Rashtrapati Bhawan as a helping hand towards eradication of leprosy. Sh. K V Brahmaji Rao, Dr. R S Sangapure and Shri Sanjiv Sharan, Executive Directors were also present on the occasion along with the executives of Hind Kusht Nivaran Sangh.
- PNB has taken various initiatives as part of Corporate Social Responsibility. PNB agenda for CSR is spreading literacy, social service, tree plantation drives, free medical camps, camps to distribute artificial limbs, blood donation camps, improving sanitary conditions by building toilets, support for the downtrodden weaker sections of society, orphans, underprivileged, spastics, handicapped, ambulances and building infrastructure facilities to various hospitals/schools, opening Library – cum – reading rooms in rural areas, etc. PNB also is running a Hockey Academy to promote National Game of Hockey. PNB has set up Farmers Training Colleges, Farmers Training College and RSETIs for vocational and agricultural training.
