Punjab National Bank launched UPI App
In pursuit of becoming “Retail PNB – Digital PNB”, the Bank has today launched mobile based banking App known as UPI App taking its ‘Digital Drive’ forward. With the help of this App, PNB will not only digitally serve the customers but also non customers. This will provide great leap towards Cashless society by providing ease of doing transaction through mobile phone.
Smt. Usha Ananthasubramanian, Managing Director & CEO Punjab National Bank has launched for public the PNB-UPI, an Android based Mobile App. The App is available on Play Store. On this occasion, she informed that PNB Account holders as well as Non-PNB Account holders can register for this App and transact using Virtual address without sharing account details. On this occasion, Sh. K.V. Brahmaji Rao, Dr. Ram S Sangapure, Sh Sanjiv Sharan – Executive Directors and Shri Rajinder Mohan Singh, Director were present.
With UPI App, one has the facility to use personal mobile to “pay” (push) as well as “collect” money from someone (pull). The customer has also the facility of paying bills, cash on delivery, online shopping, insurance premium, etc.
The unique selling point of this service is that the customers can do all this transaction without opening the account in PNB. The customers can download ‘PNB’s UPI App’ from the Google store. This App will make ‘Money transfer as easy as sending Text Message’.
