Punjab National Bank gets National Award from MNRE
Punjab National Bank (PNB) has received National Award as Top Performer under the category of “Banks/Financial Institutes” in the First National Workshop on Roof Top Solar Power at Vigyan Bhavan on 07.06.2016. The award was presented by Sh. Piyush Goyal, Minister of State (IC) for Power, Coal and New and Renewable Energy. Award was received by Sh. H.K. Parikh, General Manager, Punjab National Bank.
- The Workshop was organized by Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) for recognizing and felicitating the best performing ministries/ departments, States/ UT Governments, State nodal Agencies, Bank/ FIs, State/UT Electricity Regulatory Commissions and channel partners. Sh. P.K.Mishra, Additional Principal Secretary to Prime Minister, Sh. P.K.Sinha, Cabinet Secretary, MNRE and Sh. Upendra Tripathy, Secretary, MNRE were also present at the event.
- PNB has made a commitment to Ministry to provide long term financial assistance of Rs. 7500 Crore for renewable energy during five years period of 2015-19 and is in the process of getting sanction of loan for USD 500 million from Asian Development Bank under Solar Rooftop Investment Programme (SRIP).
- PNB has been privileged to sanction credit facility to M/s Radha Soami Satsang Beas Educational & Environmental Society for installation of 18.50 MW Roof Top solar Power Systems which is the world’s largest single campus rooftop solar power unit in Amrtisar, Punjab.
