R R BHATNAGAR,IPS APPOINTED DG OF THE NARCOTICS CONTROL BUREAU

New Delhi: RR Bhatnagar,senior IPS officer  has been appointed as the new Director General of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), almost after an year the post got vacant.The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, said that the 1983-batch Uttar Pradesh cadre officer will take over as the full-time Chief of the NCB.

The post was being handled in an additional capacity by former Secretary (Internal Security) in the Home Ministry Ashok Prasad after incumbent DG Rajiv Mehta was promoted and posted to his home state Meghalaya as the DGP in February, 2015.
