Rahul Gandhi express regret over his recent remarks made in regard to SC decision.

New Delhi: Congress president Rahul Gandhi in significant development on Monday expressed regret over remarks that he had made in regard to a recent Supreme Court decision on the alleged Rafale deal scam.

Filing an affidavit in the Supreme Court, Rahul said his statement was made in the “heat of (election) campaigning”, while adding that the same has been misused by his political opponents.

On April 10, Rahul Gandhi had said that the Supreme Court has made it “clear” that Prime Minister Narendra Modi “committed a theft” in the Rafale deal. He had gone on to claim that the “Supreme Court in its judgement said ‘Chowkidar Narendra Modi chor hai’.
