REC GIVES ASSISTANCE FOR HEALTH SERVICES IN RAEBARELI UNDER CSR

REC signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Smile Foundation for rendering primary health services for a period of over 3 years, to underprivileged rural population of Raebareli, Uttar Pradesh in the august presence of Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, Hon’ble Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Power. Shri Rajeev Sharma, CMD, REC, Sh. Ashok Lavasa, Addl. Secy, MoP and Sh. B. N. Sharma, JS, MoP and other senior officials from Ministry of Power were also present.

Under this CSR initiatives, Mobile Health vans shall provide services to the people residing in targeted villages in the areas of reproductive and child health including antenatal care to ensure safe motherhood and general health care services along with linkages to nearby government health institutions, private clinics, nursing home, health centers.

On this occasion the Hon’ble Minister congratulated REC & Smile Foundation for undertaking this important initiative for the benefit of rural poor. He also extended his best wishes for the success of the program.
