Further we are taking remaining characteristics and significations of Saturn.
The most important topic regarding Saturn is Sade Satti , which is mostly misunderstood and myths are spread to threaten natives about this.
We are aware that Saturn takes almost 30 years to go around the zodiac, it almost takes 2.5 years to complete one Rashi / sign.
The transit of Saturn over natal Moon sign of horoscope is called sade Satti period, it starts when Saturn reaches one sign previous where moon is located in natives horoscope and it finishes when Saturn exits from the next sign of Moon. To check it more accurately it should be considered exactly 45 degrees before Moon longitude for starting of sade satti and 45 degree after moon longitude for finish of sade satti period ( here natal moon degrees are taken for plus/ minus of 45 degrees ). So a total of 90 degrees (equal to 3 signs) comes to 2 and half years X 3 = 7.5 years (total period of sade satti).
Saturn transit over the moon is to be examined in the context of the entirety of any given horoscope of native. It will be completely illogical to predict only evil results in the period of sade satti. Saturn is a very slow moving planet and with significations of hard work , discipline , obstacle learning and depression etc. Moon makes us happy / sad and the transit of saturn will make a person accordingly , No two persons can undergo identical sade satti – stresses and difficulties – happiness and joys.
Ascendant can modify the effects of sade satti, the modifications occurred because of the lordship of saturn and moon.the overall results, however,took into consideration the placement of these planets.Saturn can give very good results while transiting 3,6,11 houses from radical Moon, while it is considered not good in remaining houses ( as per transit rule).
While transiting these houses, it can give monetary gains, achievements in profession, employment or freedom from diseases and a person can become courageous to fulfill his desires. On the contrary in bad houses it can give fears , illness , expenditures , obstacles.
Few points can prove sade satti beneficial :-
- Running mahadasha / antardasha are beneficial planets.
- If house under sade satti, means 12,1,2 houses from Moon have sarvashtakavarga bindu more than 30 points/ bindus.
- If binastakvarga of saturn has more points/ bindus in these houses 12,1 and 2 house from natal Moon position.
- If saturn transit is in exalted, mooltrikona,own house or friend sign.
- If benefics are present or aspecting these houses can prove a little better.
EFFECTS OF SADE SATTI CAN BE DIVIDED INTO 3 PHASES RISING, PEAK and SETTING.
RISING PHASE:- This is the starting phase of sade satti 45 degrees before Moon’s longitude. It can generally give financial losses, health issues, problems by hidden enemies,disputes, poverty, aimless travelling. On the contrary if sade satti is beneficial it can give financial profits, improvement in health problems, overcoming enemies, fruitful travels etc.
PEAK PHASE:- This is mid or peak of sade satti starting 15 degrees before Moon’s longitude. It can give more serious health problems, mental afflictions and sorrow, lot of learnings, depression, unknown fears or phobia, lack of decision making ability, spiritual inclinations. On the contrary if Saturn + Moon are beneficials it can have maximum positive results.
SETTING PHASE:-This is the setting period of sade satti and it will start after 15 degrees from natal Moon’s longitude and ends at 45 degrees from moon. It can give difficulties in finance, misunderstanding, break in education but it will start giving relief and positive results will start coming. On the contrary if sade satti is beneficial it will start removing obstacles/ difficulties/ misunderstandings.
Now the most important thing is how to predict the effects of sade satti on a concerned person/ native. Here we need to evaluate three different procedures and co relate their results to get final prediction data.
1st procedure:- We will find out houses allotted to Saturn and Moon in different ascendants/ lagnas with very simple vedic astrology ways and points allotted are according to principle of Vedic astrology. Trikona lords (most auspicious) are allotted 2 points (1,5,9 houses), Kendra lords (auspicious) are allotted 1 point (4,7,10 houses) and all remaining houses will contribute 0 points (not auspicious).
2nd procedure:- We will find Rashi/ Sign on which sade satti is running ( rising, peak and setting). If those Signs are saturn’s exalted, mooltrikona, own house, friends, neutrals or enemy sign and results shall be predicted accordingly (favourable or unfavourable).
3rd procedure:- We will check mahadasha and antardasha of planets at moments of sade satti and by that means we will establish and predict results of sade satti for native (same by checking friendly,unfriendly,dashas running at time of sade satti).
Results of 1st procedure (both Saturn & Moon are only considered)
So there are 5 kind of categories coming out of our calculations above :-
- Total 4 points will give very good results.
- Total 3 points will give good results.
- Total 2 points will give neutral results (good/bad).
- Total 1 point will give bad results.
- Total 0 point will give the worst results.
2nd procedure:– Second procedure shall be done by Moon’s natal position. we get the Sign/ Rashi of Moon from natives horoscope, by this we can find rising rashi/sign, peak rashi/sign and setting rashi/sign of sade satti.By simple vedic astrology rules we will find friendly, inimical or neutrals of these signs/ rashi with Saturn and accordingly will be the results of 2nd procedure.
1. If Moon is in Aries Sign so 12 from moon will be Pisces and 2 from moon will be Taurus
Rising of sade satti will be Pisces (jupiter), neutral with saturn so mixed results,Good/bad.
Peak of sade satti will be Aries (mars), inimical with Saturn so bad results. of sade satti will be Taurus (venus), friendly with Saturn so good results.
2. If Moon is in Taurus Sign so 12 from moon will be Aries and 2 from moon will be Gemini
Rising of sade satti will be Aries (mars), inimical with saturn so bad results.
Peak of sade satti will be Taurus (venus), friendly with Saturn so good results.
Setting of sade satti will be Gemini (mercury), friendly with Saturn so good results.
3. If Moon is in Gemini Sign so12 from moon will be Taurus and 2 from moon will be Cancer
Rising sade satti will be Taurus (venus), friendly with saturn so good results.
Peak of sade satti will be Gemini (mercury), friendly with Saturn so good results.
Setting of sade satti will be Cancer (moon), inimical with Saturn so bad results.
4. If Moon is in Cancer Sign so 12 from moon will be Gemini and 2 from moon will be Leo
Rising sade satti will be Gemini (mercury), friendly with Saturn so good results.
Peak of sade satti will be Cancer (moon), inimical with Saturn so bad results.
Setting of sade satti will be Leo (sun), inimical with Saturn so bad results.
5. If Moon is in Leo Sign so 12 from moon will be Cancer and 2 from moon will be Virgo
Rising sade satti will be Cancer (moon), inimical with saturn so bad results.
Peak of sade satti will be Leo (sun), inimical with Saturn so bad results.
Setting of sade satti will be Virgo (mercury), friendly with Saturn so good results.
6. If Moon is in Virgo Sign so 12 from moon will be Leo and 2 from moon will be Libra
Rising sade satti will be Leo (sun), inimical with saturn so bad results.
Peak of sade satti will be Virgo (mercury), friendly with Saturn so good results.
Setting of sade satti will be Libra (venus), friendly with Saturn so good results.
7. If Moon is in Libra Sign so 12 from moon will be Virgo and 2 from moon will be scorpio
Rising sade satti will be Virgo (mercury), friendly with Saturn so good results.
Peak of sade satti will be Libra (venus), friendly with Saturn so good results.
Setting of sade satti will be Scorpio (mars), inimical with Saturn so bad results.
8. If Moon is in Scorpio Sign so12 from moon is Libra and 2 from moon will be sagittarius
Rising sade satti will be Libra (venus), friendly with Saturn so good results.
Peak of sade satti will be Scorpio (mars), inimical with Saturn so bad results.
Setting of sade satti will be sagittarius (jupiter),neutral with Saturn so good/bad mix results.
9. If Moon is in Sagittarius Sign so12 from moon is Scorpio and 2 from moon is capricorn
Rising sade satti will be Scorpio (mars), inimical with Saturn so bad results.
Peak of sade satti will be Sagittarius (jup), neutral with Saturn so good/bad mix results.
Setting of sade satti will be Capricorn (sat),Saturn’s own sign so good results.
10. If Moon is in Capricorn Sign, 12 from moon is Sagittarius and 2 to moon is Aquarius
Rising sade satti will be Sagittarius (jup), neutral with Saturn so good/bad mix results.
Peak of sade satti will be Capricorn (sat), Saturn’s own sign so good results.
Setting of sade satti will be Aquarius (sat),Saturn’s own house so good results.
11. If Moon is in Aquarius Sign, 12 from moon will be Capricorn and 2 to moon is Pisces
Rising sade satti will be Capricorn (sat), Saturn’s own sign so good results.
Peak of sade satti will be Aquarius (sat), Saturn’s own sign so good results.
Setting of sade satti will be Pisce (jup),neutral with Saturn so good/bad mix results.
12. If Moon is in Pisces Sign, 12 from moon will be Aquarius and 2 to moon is Aries
Rising sade satti will be Aquarius (sat), Saturn’s own sign so good results.
Peak of sade satti will be Pisces (jup), neutral with Saturn so good/bad mix results.
Setting of sade satti will be Aries (mars),inimical with Saturn so bad results.
Note:- Scorpio can be taken as Ketu’s Rashi/ sign and Aquarius as Rahu’s Rashi/Sign there results will be little different as Ketu is friendly and Mars is inimical but Rahu is friendly to Saturn so not so much difference in Aquarius, further we should consider Rahu /Ketu natal position their strength , their dispositor, their PAC etc. before final conclusion.
3rd procedure:- We need to examine in detail Mahadasha and Antardasha periods running during sade satti as it may further give us the opportunity to establish good or bad results of Saturn sade satti. If Moon strong , unafflicted, pakshbali mahadasha / antardasha is running it will add up for good results. Same for Saturn if exalted, own house, inimical house positioning in natal horoscope results may be calculated accordingly. If any Yogkarak, Exalted, Debilitated planet’s Mahadasha / Antardasha is running during sade satti it can modify results according to benefic or malefic contribution of that planet.
If the Mahadasha/ Antardasha of a functional benefic planet is running with good kind of sade satti the results could be excellent in nature.
If Mahadasha / Antardasha of functional Malefic is running in native horoscope and bad sade satti phase is also running at the same time it can be the worst kind of period.
If Mahadasha / Antardasha of natural and functional benefic is running at time of any bad sade satti phase it will reduce benefits of dasha as malefic Saturn sade satti transit will overlap the dasha system.
If Mahadasha / Antardasha of natural and functional malefic is running at time of any good sade satti phase it will reduce benefits of Saturn sade satti transit as dasha lords will pour evil effects into good effects of Sade satti.
