US blacklists 28 Chinese entities over Uighur repression in Xinjiang region

The US Commerce
Department has announced
blacklisting of 28 Chinese
entities that it said are
implicated in human rights
violations and abuses
targeting Uighurs and other
mostly Muslim minorities in
the Xinjiang region

Secretary of Commerce
Wilbur Ross announced the
move, which bars the named
entities from purchasing US
products. He said the United
