| The Golden Jubilee celebrations of Kshatriya Seva Samiti – AP were inaugurated by the Vice President of India Shri M. Hamid Ansari in Hyderabad today. Appreciating the community service rendered by the Kshatriya Community, Shri Ansari said that the community runs educational institutions, old age homes and hospitals across the country. Quoting a study which says that there are 4693 communities in India which have distinctive identity, Shri Ansari said that, despite such cultural diversity it is the cultural moulding of mind and the commitment towards the welfare of all that keeps the social fabric intact. In this regard, he said that the Kshatriya Seva Samiti’s service to the society can be taken as a role model.
The Governor of Andhra Pradesh Shri ESL Narasimhan, Chief Minister Shri Kiran Kumar Reddy and other dignitaries participated in the event. Shri Narasimhan said that traditionally the role of Kshatriyas was to look after the welfare of the society, a role the community adheres to, even now, by rendering by philanthropy of its members. Shri Kiran Kumar Reddy remembered the sacrifices made by the freedom fighter Alluri Sita Rama Raju from the community. He also lauded the zeal of the Kshatriya community towards social work. Earlier Shri Narendra Singh Rajawat, Chairman, All India Kshatriya federation and Shri P.Raghava Raju spoke about the activities of the Kshatriya Seva Samiti. |
