New Delhi, Oct 29 : The observance of Vigilance Awareness Week commenced in Punjab National Bank with a meeting of Top Executives of the bank inaugurated by JM Garg, Vigilance Commissioner, Central Vigilance Commission.
Shiv Kumar Gupta, Chief Vigilance Officer, of the bank while compering the meeting, outlined the achievements made in vigilance administration and the positive developments in the vigilance outlook like implementation of green vigilance, updation of Vigilance Manual.
KR Kamath, CMD, welcomed Shri JM Garg and appreciated the developments in the Vigilance setup and its functioning. Sh JM Garg, on the occasion released the special issue of PNB VIGIL, an educative magazine , brought out for the occasion by vigilance department of the bank. All the Top Executives of the bank were present on the occasion.
JM Garg, while addressing the gathering, stressed on corporate governance, prevailing environment in the country and the preparedness of the banks to meet the challenges before them. He also emphasised the need for empowering the employees and customers for good governance practices
